Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Associate with Forklift Experience
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Associate with Forklift Experience will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods using forklifts and other material handling equipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Associate will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and collaborate with other team members to maintain efficient workflows and meet operational targets.
Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and handling materials.
Receiving and Put-Away: Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and transfer goods to designated storage areas using forklifts. Verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders and inspect goods for damage or defects. Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of received inventory.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management activities, including stock rotation, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Utilize forklifts to move and stack inventory in designated storage locations, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
Order Picking and Packing: Utilize forklifts to pick and stage products for outgoing orders according to pick tickets or customer specifications. Pack orders securely and accurately for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Shipping and Receiving: Prepare outgoing shipments for pickup or delivery, including loading trucks and securing cargo using forklifts and other equipment. Coordinate with carriers and warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipments. Receive returned merchandise and process accordingly.
Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards. Report any quality issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel and assist with resolution as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct pre-use inspections of forklifts and other equipment, and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in logistics or warehousing preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Valid forklift operator certification and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and inventory management software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and squat for extended periods.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
