We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team at a leading Frozen Novelties Manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and team leadership. As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and efficient storage environment for frozen products.
This is a 1st shift position, and the starting salary is a minimum of $50, 000 annually, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring that all functions (inventory control, order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving) are carried out efficiently and accurately. Maintain high standards of operational efficiency to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Inventory Control:
Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production needs and customer orders. Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
Order Fulfillment:
Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer requirements. Coordinate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and on-time deliveries.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff. Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure team productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety guidelines. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve team performance.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and audits to maintain a safe work environment. Monitor the proper handling, storage, and transportation of frozen products to prevent damage or contamination.
Facility Management:
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and optimized for efficiency. Manage the layout of the warehouse to maximize space utilization and streamline workflow. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
Shipping & Receiving:
Manage the receiving process to ensure accurate and timely inbound shipments. Verify shipments against purchase orders, inspect for damages, and ensure proper storage of received products. Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain and update warehouse records, including inventory reports, shipment logs, and order documentation. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational challenges.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
