Job Overview:
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including receiving, storing, and distributing products or materials. This role requires an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse setting. The Warehouse Associate will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and will work closely with other team members.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming goods, materials, or products to ensure accuracy and quality.
Unload, sort, and organize products in designated storage areas.
Maintain accurate inventory records through proper data entry and documentation.
Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately based on customer requirements.
Prepare shipments by verifying orders, selecting appropriate packaging, and labeling items.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to safely and efficiently move goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including shelving, aisles, and work areas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with the inventory system.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a warehouse associate or similar role.
Proficient in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Good organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems.
Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional overtime, as needed.
