Job Description

Responsibilities:
Ensure successful job performance by effectively executing each essential duty.
Lead or participate actively in root cause analysis using the 8D Problem Solving methodology to address production issues related to process errors, non-conforming parts, and design problems.
Conduct audits on operational processes in alignment with control plans.
Review manufacturing instructions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and comprehension by assembly personnel.
Advocate for manufacturability in product design.
Assist in implementing and monitoring inspection procedures and processes.
Conduct various inspections including layout, in-process, final, and receiving using mechanical inspection methods.
Serve as the customer liaison in resolving quality concerns.
Develop continuous improvement plans for suppliers to enhance PPM scores.
Conduct supplier quality performance audits and contribute to supplier scorecards.
Manage nonconforming incoming material, collaborating with suppliers to resolve issues.
Drive corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain internal quality management systems related to receiving inspection, calibration, and MRB.
Perform internal audits as per Quality Management System and Customer Specific Requirements.
Provide in-process QA support.
Train employees on quality standards and create product limit samples.
Travel to customers to see and address errors in products.
Travel to new vendors to see the products first hand and make recommendations as needed.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements:
Communicate verbally with various stakeholders.
Regularly utilize telephone and computer.
Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods during work shifts.
Perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching.
Utilize hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing.
Work in an environment with medium to high noise levels.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business administration, or related field.
Proficiency in Quality & Environmental management systems, including ISO9001, ISO14001, & IATF16949.
Knowledge and experience with Quality Tools, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.
Internal auditing experience or qualifications.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer literacy for data input and retrieval.
Effective planning and organizing abilities for managing multiple tasks.
Adaptability to workplace changes and new responsibilities.
Experience in manufacturing industries.
Experience in Lamination and Cabinetry is highly desired.
Familiarity with glues, adhesive, acrylic, films and plastic sheets.
Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
