York Employment is looking for a hard working individual to join a leading electronic manufacturing company that specializes in designing and producing top-quality electronic components for various industries.

Job Overview:
As an SMT Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble and mount electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to multitask will contribute to our high production standards and ensure the consistent quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, calibrate, and operate SMT equipment, including automatic pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
Load electronic components, solder paste, and PCBs into the machines, ensuring proper alignment and placement.
Inspect and troubleshoot faulty components or equipment during the assembly process.
Monitor and adjust machinery settings to optimize the production process and ensure accurate placement of components.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on SMT equipment.
Conduct quality inspections to verify the accuracy of component placement, soldering, and other assembly processes.
Document and report any defects or non-conformities during the assembly process.
Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
Proven experience as a SMT Operator or similar role in an electronics manufacturing environment.
In-depth understanding of SMT equipment and procedures.
Proficient in operating automatic pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Familiarity with IPC standards and practices is a plus.
