Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse or distribution center. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth flow of goods, inspecting deliveries, and coordinating with various departments to optimize logistics processes.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

Shipping Operations:
Prepare and pack products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
Generate shipping labels and documentation, and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to prioritize and fulfill orders in a timely manner.

Receiving Operations:
Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of products against packing slips and purchase orders.
Unload and inspect goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
Record and update inventory information in the system.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues related to received shipments.

Inventory Management:
Maintain organized and efficient storage of products in the warehouse.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits.
Update and reconcile inventory records in the system.

Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory.
Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as operate forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
