Job Description
York Employment is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the safety, quality, and productivity of production associates during designated shifts. This hands-on role is also responsible for plant sanitation, shift security, and ensuring production goals are met on time and within quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise shift employees, enforce safety protocols, and ensure PPE compliance
Maintain product quality by adhering to SOPs and food safety procedures
Facilitate communication between operators and management
Train and coach new and existing staff
Oversee plant cleanliness, sanitation, and waste removal
Support production line setup, disassembly, and equipment sanitization
Conduct quality inspections and audits from raw materials to finished goods
Report incidents, drive performance, and suggest cost-saving improvements

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; 3 4 years of related experience preferred
Forklift certification required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Basic math and computer skills for production monitoring
Knowledge of sanitation processes and food safety standards
Additional Requirements:
Ability to meet physical demands of a production environment
Adherence to all Food Safety and Quality SOPs
Participation in all required training sessions
