Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to introduce new products to the market.
Identify suitable equipment and technologies for production, enhancing manufacturing and product development processes to elevate quality, innovation, productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate and supervise the commissioning of new machinery.
Identify technical and operational challenges affecting product development and implement appropriate solutions.
Stay abreast of current and future industry trends.
Uphold quality standards by ensuring staff are trained in relevant quality protocols and initial inspection procedures are adhered to.
Ensure efficiency standards are met and explore avenues for improvement.
Maintain accurate inventory records through effective transaction recording and scheduled cycle counting.
Review labor requirements based on workload demands and make necessary adjustments.
Communicate priorities, changes, expectations, and pertinent departmental and company information to the production team.
Oversee training plans and deployment for new and existing employees, ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of training records.
Schedule, plan, and report using MRP within our ERP System.
Perform database administration tasks, including raising/receiving work orders, recording inventory transactions, and managing quality-related tasks.
Fulfill purchasing requirements related to lamination production in line with procedures and agreed lead times.
Establish production targets to meet sales demands.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Proficiency in current manufacturing techniques within a printing/extrusion manufacturing setting, including hands-on experience with equipment, tooling, assembly, and testing.
Strong organizational skills with acute attention to tight deadlines and detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in both routine and unplanned situations with sales, team leads, and shop personnel.
Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Solid background in Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction methodologies.
Exceptional management and leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
Advantageous to have hands-on experience in cabinetry lamination operations.
