Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler with Forklift skills to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving materials and products throughout our facility using a forklift. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
-Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move materials and products within the manufacturing facility.
-Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all materials are securely stacked and moved to their designated locations.
-Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials by inspecting and comparing the physical count to delivery/pickup documentation.
-Maintain inventory accuracy by properly labeling, tagging, and locating materials in the appropriate storage areas.
-Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation throughout the shift.
-Collaborate with team members and various departments to prioritize material movement based on production schedules and customer demands.
Communicate any inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or shortages to the appropriate personnel, proposing solutions as needed.
-Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training to promote a safe working environment for all employees.

-MUST have experience operating the stand up reach and sit-down forklift.
-High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
-Valid forklift certification and minimum of 4 years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
-Proficient knowledge of forklift operation, including loading/unloading techniques, safety guidelines, and load capacity limits.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as bills of lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
-Basic math skills to accurately count and track inventory.
-Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
-Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and coordinate material movement efficiently.
-Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and occasional overtime as required.
