Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Masking & Demasking Technician to support coating and finishing operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for preparing parts before the coating process by accurately masking designated areas and carefully removing masking materials after coating is completed.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to work with small or precision parts while following drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Mask parts and components prior to coating according to specifications and work instructions.
Apply masking tape, plugs, caps, liquid masking materials, and other protective materials as required.
Identify areas of parts that must remain free of coating.
Perform detailed masking around holes, threads, edges, surfaces, and other specified areas.
Remove tape, plugs, caps, and other masking materials after the coating process.
Carefully demask finished parts without scratching, damaging, or affecting the coated surface.
Visually inspect parts for proper masking, coating coverage, and overall quality.
Clean and prepare parts before and after processing as required.
Read and follow work orders, drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
Handle finished parts carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
Maintain accurate production documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow all safety, quality, and coating-process procedures.
Perform additional production duties as assigned.

Previous masking, demasking, coating, painting, plating, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise work.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Comfortable using masking tape, plugs, caps, cutting tools, and other masking materials.
