Job Description
Summary
The manufacturing / process engineer will work on solutions to prevent waste and inefficiency in production processes. It will design efficient systems that integrate workers, information, machines, energy and materials to make products or provide services. The manufacturing / process engineer will also design equipment to coordinate production planning to minimize production issues and costs while ensuring products meet quality standards. It will design, develop and maintain manufacturing routes to maximize effectiveness, efficiency and space. The manufacturing / process engineer will also make sure the company complies with all industry standards for safety while meeting design standards and guidelines. The manufacturing / process engineer will also coordinate the manufacturing launch of new products or process improvements on current products, as well as other projects as required.
Job Requirements
B.S. Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
5-10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably but not limited to the electronics manufacturing industry.
Content expert in ergonomics, biotechnology, human engineering, and human factors.
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs.
Experience using CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software.
Proficient in Project Management and Value Stream Mapping.
Expertise on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
Coding expertise, preferably in C and Visual Studio is a plus.
Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) a plus.
