Job Description
York Employment is seeking a Service Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the performance of our client's service department in Krugerville, TX. This individual will lead a team of skilled technicians and service professionals, ensuring operational efficiency, high customer satisfaction, and continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in heavy-duty vehicle service operations, excellent leadership capabilities, and a track record of improving key performance indicators (KPIs), such as customer satisfaction, work-in-progress (WIP), and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations of the service department to ensure customer service excellence
Promote clear, professional communication between customers, service teams, and internal stakeholders
Develop and coach service team members to achieve certifications and performance milestones
Monitor KPIs, including WIP, customer satisfaction scores (CSI/NPS), and monthly sales/GP targets
Implement and improve SOPs for service workflow and efficiency
Conduct customer site visits to build and maintain long-term relationships
Oversee staffing, recruitment, disciplinary actions, and performance management within the service team
Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical certifications, and OEM requirements
Work Environment & Schedule
Standard work hours are Monday Friday, between 6:00 A.M. And 6:00 p.M if needed, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed
This role requires frequent travel for site visits and team oversight
Work environment includes exposure to mechanical parts and loud noise levels typical of a service facility

Required:
5+ years of experience in a service leadership role within automotive, heavy truck, or bus dealership environments
Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance through coaching and accountability
Knowledge of vehicle warranty processes and industry best practices
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school diploma preferred
Valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred:
Experience managing departments of 40+ employees
Technical training or certifications in vehicle maintenance or OEM technologies
Familiarity with DMS platforms (e.G., Karmak Fusion) and OEM systems
5+ years of experience in a service leadership role within automotive, heavy truck, or bus dealership environments
Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance through coaching and accountability
