York Employment is hiring an Industrial Engineer to join an electronic manufacturing company in Phoenix, 85040. Please read through the job description and apply if this sounds like a good fit for you!

Job Responsibilities
Design and develop manufacturing processes to include product flow, assembly methods, and production equipment/tooling.
Analyze existing systems and processes and identify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
Identify root causes and corrective action of technical production problems and develop rework instructions as needed.
Ensure that all manufacturing processes are documented, standardized, and concise.
Evaluate and recommend new equipment/technology to improve production yields, cycle time, and productivity.
Perform product/process analysis to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
Liaison to Design Engineering for DFMA, NPI, quality improvements, and engineering drawing changes.
Drive manufacturing cost improvement initiatives and continuous improvement/Lean activities.

Job Requirements

Education/Training and Experience Requirements
B.S. Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical.
Minimum of 3-5 years for experience.
Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement experience is required.
Knowledge of NPI, DFMA, PFMEA, and SPC is required.
Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-610 Standards is a plus.
Knowledge of Circuit Board Assembly (CBA) related equipment including Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machines, Reflow Ovens, Selective Solder, Axial Inserter and Wave Solder is a plus.
Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process/line balancing.
Must have computer board experience.
