Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator with specific experience working in freezer environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating forklifts safely and efficiently within freezing temperatures while adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport materials, products, and goods within freezer storage areas, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, especially within freezer storage environments.
Transport materials, products, and goods to and from designated storage areas, loading docks, and production areas.
Follow established procedures for handling frozen products, ensuring proper storage and retrieval methods to maintain product integrity.
Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting all movements of materials and products within the freezer storage areas.
Collaborate with warehouse team members to prioritize tasks, coordinate shipments, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines for operating forklifts in freezer environments, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Keep work areas clean and organized, following good housekeeping practices to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks, palletizing products, and performing other warehouse duties as needed.
Participate in training sessions and meetings related to safety, equipment operation, and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts in freezer environments (e.G., cold storage warehouses, refrigerated storage facilities).
Must have experience operating the sit-down, stand up, and cherry picker.
Proven track record of operating forklifts safely and efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work in cold temperatures (-20 F to 0 F) for extended periods while wearing appropriate cold weather gear.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
Standing, walking, bending, stooping, and operating forklift equipment for extended periods.
Comfortable working in cold temperatures and wearing appropriate protective gear.
High school diploma or equivalent.
