Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Horizontal Mill Setup Operator to join our machining team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating horizontal CNC machining centers, interpreting blueprints, building fixtures, and machining prototype and production parts to precise specifications. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can take a part from prototype through production while maintaining exceptional quality and efficiency.
Set up and operate horizontal CNC machining centers.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
Set tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for production runs.
Machine prototype and production parts to customer specifications.
Build and modify fixtures as needed for machining operations.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Make program or offset adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Job Requirements
3 to 5 years of CNC horizontal mill setup experience required.
Experience machining prototype parts from concept through production preferred.
Fixture building and setup experience required.
Experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and cutting parameters.
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift
