Position: Buffer/Metal Finishing Technician
Schedule: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finishing Technician to join our 2nd shift team in a temp-to-hire role. This position involves buffing and finishing small aerospace parts with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to work quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform buffing, polishing, line graining, chamfering, sandblasting, and bead blasting of small aerospace parts, including metal door handles and related components.
Operate finishing equipment, including buffing wheels, sanding belts, deburring tools, bead blasting equipment, and time savers for line graining bolts.
Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, tolerances, and required tooling.
Select, set up, and secure appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
Position and secure workpieces in holding devices, machine tables, vises, or fixtures.
Operate machinery to perform sanding, buffing, deburring, or blasting operations according to specifications.
Monitor machine operations and verify that finished parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Follow established safety guidelines and company regulations.
Seek clarification or guidance when needed to ensure correct procedures are followed.
