Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team at our Distribution Center in Ontario, CA. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of the distribution center, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Generate regular financial reports to provide insights into the financial performance of the distribution center.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

Cost Management:
Oversee the tracking and analysis of costs related to distribution activities.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.

Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.

Vendor Management:
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.

Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Collaborate with tax professionals to manage tax filings and audits.

Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is a strong asset.
Proven experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in a distribution or logistics setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
