Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Chino. In this role, you will be responsible for independently building single and progressive dies by interpreting blueprints and specifications. You will analyze metal stamped parts and work with tools and dies to maintain production equipment and troubleshoot discrepancies.
1st Shift, Monday - Friday Position pay DOE.
Die and Tool Maintenance: Work on tools and dies in a production environment to maintain optimal performance and functionality.
Blueprint Interpretation: Study specifications (blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions) to visualize and determine the materials required and the machines to use for fabricating parts.
Machine Operation: Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders) to machine parts, while verifying conformance of machined parts to specifications.
Planning and Layout: Compute dimensions, plan layouts, and determine assembly methods and sequences of operations.
Verification: Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of machined parts to ensure they meet required specifications.
Heat Treatment Requests: Request heat treating of tools or parts as necessary.
Design Modifications: Examine standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures, recommending design modifications to improve construction and functionality.
Mentorship: Work with apprentices, teaching them the fundamentals of tool and die making to foster their development.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety measures are in place prior to operating Tool Room machines and equipment.
Additional Duties: Perform all other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tool and die making role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of machine tools and machining processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor and teach others.
