Job Description
York Employment is looking for a Bookkeeper for a company in Colton, CA.
Duties include:
Daily review of Receiving Dept log of shipments received to prepare Vendor invoices for AP input to QuickBooks
Work with Vendors to resolve shipping shortages and damages and obtain Credit Memos
Answer emails (customer service) from Vendors and Customers
Processing shipped packets to create Customer (AR) Invoices and input into QuickBooks, Input Cash Receipts to QuickBooks, Preparation of bank deposits, Ordering Office Supplies.
Work with the Accountant on AR collections and assist the Accountant with special projects.
This position has heavy paperwork and has heavy data entry (alpha and numeric) and filing.
Side Note: This company believes in ongoing training which creates a great learning environment with potential to add to the employees existing skill set and take on more responsibility. There is room to grow.

Experienced with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Must be able to create simple spreadsheets and know how to make basic formulas.
Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
10-key by touch (Calculator)
Accurate typing
Personal Skills:
Very detailed oriented and understands the importance of double checking everything.
Good Time Management/Multi-Tasking: Can flip back and forth between projects and know where they are at with each.
Can work independently with minimal guidance.
Reports on time zero tolerance for always being late and long breaks. No cell phones during work (except on breaks and lunch).
