Job Description

York Employment is hiring in the city of Ontario for a Quality Assurance Technician

Schedule:
Monday-Friday (Weekends as required)
11:00PM-7:30AM (Overtime as required)

Pay:
$18.00/Per Hour

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
o 1-2 Year Experience in food manufacturing environment
o Teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
o Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
o Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
o Great attention to detail and an exceptional multi-taker.
o Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
o Must be able to taste all foods with no aversions or allergies.
o Excellent attendance and safety record
o Available to work weekends and mandatory overtime
o Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
o Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below

Responsibilities:
o Maintain product quality by analyzing manufacturing and engineering requirements and devising testing methods and procedures;
o Establish product quality documentation by writing and implementing quality assurance procedure;
o Interact with the leadership group, production team members, and maintenance departments to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality and safety;
o Manage Quality Control Program that ensures that product is inspected to meet acceptable safety quality standards;
o Maintain and achieve internal quality targets and measurements;
o Ensure Production and other support areas of the plant are maintained to highest standards and in strict conformation to GMP standards;
o Achieve quality targets and ensures accurate records of quality compliance;
o Ensures the cleanliness, sanitation and overall organization of manufacturing areas;
o Ensures consistency with quality standards, practices, and policies;
o Support change efforts at manufacturing plant to improve and enhance quality systems;
o Support training of quality procedures throughout the plant;
o Communicate with production in regards to productivity status and discrepancy;
o Perform other duties assigned by Executive Management to support the department.
o Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);
o Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times;
o Attends all company training sessions; and
o Other duties as assigned.
