Develop, plan and oversee continuing improvement of throughput and quality.
Assist in establishing and maintaining information systems along with creating reports.
Perform root cause analysis.
Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
Ensure ISO compliance by maintaining/creating processes and documentation.
Perform and report ISO/quality audits (internal and external).
Collect and analyze data to eliminate redundant or unnecessary processes and improve existing processes (minimize rework and scrap). Ability to identify and interpret trends in data.
Serve as a key member on the Material Review Board and assist in determining material as being rework or scrap along with other associated duties.
Finalize product inspection procedures.
Establish quality related training programs and techniques.
Direct supervision of quality inspection personnel. Assign tasks and ensure their completion.
Provide for the identification of employee training needs.
Develop and deliver departmental and individual training.
Initiate and manage CAPA and CAPA system as required.
Coordinate with the ENGINEERING MANAGER, QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER, and/or GENERAL MANAGER, as required, on issues concerning the quality system, standards, work instructions, process problems, changes or enhancements.
Use production schedule to write dates on the traveler sleeves in order to help with the organization of jobs. Make sure the dates are current.
Keep track of employee attendance using advanced coatings calendar system.
Issue write-ups to employees when they are in violation of company policies explained in the company handbook.
Perform employee reviews on a 6 month or annual basis.
Defixture all fixtures coming out of machines and organize them on the demasking shelf by date. (training will be provided).
Keep track of what jobs are due for the next three days by writing what stage of the process they are in directly on the production schedule.
Perform shop closing procedures on a daily basis.
This position reports to the General Manager and develops and assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business Management from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 year supervisory or equivalent experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire, knowledge of daily production-management processes including the setting and meeting of goals for safety, quality and throughput.
General knowledge of or the ability to acquire general knowledge of coating types, uses and applications.
Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire, specific technology related skills necessary to manage handling and cleaning activities, fixturing and defixturing activities, masking and demasking activities and coating thicknesses and quality.
Personal computer skills, including standard business suites, and the ability to acquire competency in various operation specific applications (E2 ERP system).
Ability to write clearly and concisely as required.
Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD), and how to handle ESD sensitive parts. Pass ESD Training with 100%. (training will be provided)
Ability to independently diagnose, manage and resolve problems coupled with the skills to take action to prevent recurrence.
Ability to communicate well with others.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, work with company employees, assign specific and non-specific tasks, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Advanced knowledge of company safety procedures, instructions and SDS requirements.
