We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II performs necessary machine repair and service to all equipment as well as facilities maintenance in order to keep the plant area and equipment fully functional, clean and safe.
This includes both electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance to production and engineering equipment.
Maintains stock to accomplish the above objective. May also repair HVAC units.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Monitors, schedules, and performs preventive & general maintenance of production equipment and factory systems including installation of new equipment
o Performs troubleshooting and repair of equipment including but not limited to: vacuum pumps, chillers, ovens, water treatment systems, coating machinery, various mechanical fixtures, and some factory systems such as lights/compressors/minor plumbing & electrical.
o Maintains calibration of measurement and test equipment, including all applicable records.
o Follows process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's) and verbal instructions from the Site Operations Manager.
o Monitors and adjust chemical baths, safely handles storage and disposal of chemicals.
o Follows processes to order materials necessary to ensure that all production equipment and facilities equipment operates in an efficient manner.
o Performs general maintenance and repair on coating center equipment as well as equipment used in the facility such as HVAC.
o Installs equipment, work tables, tools, lighting or other items. Fabricates and assembles production fixtures.
o Follows process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's) and verbal instructions from the Site management team.
o Maintains records, checklists and log books on maintenance performed and inspections conducted.
o Maintains tools and test equipment in a serviceable state.
o Maintains calibration of measurement and test equipment, including all applicable records.
o Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
o Adheres to company housekeeping policies.
o Trains less experienced Maintenance Techs and/or Coating Operators how to troubleshoot and perform light repair on equipment.
o May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required. Additional post-high school training and education in electrical or mechanical field is preferred.
- 4 or more years of work experience in maintenance in an industrial setting is required.
- Prior hands-on repair of and troubleshooting with more advanced / complex equipment is required.
BASIC SKILLS:
o Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar subjects both verbally and in writing.
o Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.
o Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
o Ability to trouble shoot electrical, mechanical and vacuum system issues.
o Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
o Ability to speak, read and write English.
o Ability to interpret schematics for the purposes of troubleshooting and repair.
o Highly organized and detail oriented.
o Moderate computer literacy, familiar with Windows and MS Office applications
o High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
o Ability to calculate basic mathematic functions and formulas. Can calculate ratios, percentages, and fractions.
o Uses Excel spreadsheets and can write simple formulas and create spreadsheets.
