The Inventory Control Clerk is primarily responsible for the maintaining of accurate records of inventory.
Responsible for product inventory activities, including inventory cycle counts, physical inventory, movement, adjustments and deletions.
Maintain and update inventory records and completes related paperwork.
Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer
Keeps back order file to release back orders as stock becomes available.
Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of shipping orders.
Reviews unused items, spoilage/waste, and recommends disposal of damaged products.
May use a forklift to reach stored products and other material handling equipment. May transport items from the processing area to the warehouse or freezer.
Daily cycle counts of raw material and finished goods.
Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory shortages/discrepancies.
Own activities that relate to inventory control in the warehouse environment.
Regularly update management regarding inventory accuracy and discrepancies.
Provide recommendations to management to improve inventory accuracy.
Continuously initiate process improvement changes regarding inventory.
Be vigilant about inventory accuracy and its impact on customer satisfaction

3+ years of relevant warehouse experience required.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Experience operating a forklift and common equipment used in a warehouse environment is required
Experience working in a frozen food factory environment is preferred
Able to work extended OT hours, including weekends and nights as needed
Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who will be responsible for timely and efficient inventory processes.
Goal-driven with the ability to multi-task while working under pressure.
Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related college education preferred, or two- three years experience in shipping and receiving, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements associate may be exposed to a production setting and will work in a sub-zero freezer with a temperature of -20 at times. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24 hour production facility.
Schedule will include weekends and mandatory overtime.
