We have a temp to hire position for a Human Resources Assistant at our Ontario location.
Summary Assists with administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity, provides department support and back up, and maintains department record keeping by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with any or all areas and/or process following company protocols for the following:
Recruiting and staffing logistics.
Employee orientation, development and training logistics and record keeping.
Employee relations.
Communication between company and employees.
Compensation and benefits administration and record keeping.
Safety, welfare, wellness and health reporting.
Employee services.
HR filing system.
Leaves of Absence.
Job Descriptions.

Assists Safety Coordinator (s) as needed and/or requested.
Facilitates, completes and/maintains company Safety Committee Meetings, materials, company locations walkthroughs and record keeping.
Monitors, schedules and maintains records for company safety training.
Assist with and complete projects as requested by management.
Completes staffing agencies billing processes accurately and timely.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver License and vehicle insurance.

Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
Ability to visit other local company locations, and travel up to 5% to out of state company locations as needed and/or requested.
Ability to read, write and speak fluent Spanish preferred.
