Job Description

Industry Expertise: Experience in the Automotive OEM or Aftermarket sectors focusing on vehicle component design.

Product Development: Proficiency in automotive accessory development processes, ensuring products meet relevant standards and specifications.


Project Oversight: Successfully manage projects throughout their lifecycle, achieving targets for cost and timing.


Software Proficiency: Familiarity with TeamCenter and NX software tools for effective product design.


Technical Competencies: Knowledgeable in tool design, 'design for manufacture' principles, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).


Project Management: Lead the project management of new product initiatives from inception to production, collaborating with global product development teams.


Product Development Lifecycle: Manage the entire product development lifecycle, including costing, material selection, design, process analysis, testing, and PPAP documentation.


Team Leadership: Direct product design efforts and ensure successful project delivery, culminating in stable full production release.


Product Range: Oversee development across various automotive accessory products, including local production of acrylic and thermoplastic parts, and the design and manufacture of tooling.


Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Development Managers, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other key departments.


Customer and Supplier Engagement: Engage directly with customers and suppliers globally and across the USA, serving both OEM and Aftermarket markets.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Hold a Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics engineering degree.


Experience: Possess at least 5 years' experience in new product design and development within manufacturing.

Leadership and Innovation: Ability to provide technical guidance, foster innovation, and stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.


Standards and Practices: Understand USA and global Automotive standards, as well as requirements for PPAP and APQP.
