Picking and Packing Warehouse Associate



Job Summary:


The Picking and Packing Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately picking products from inventory and packing them for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.



Key Responsibilities:


Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick products from shelves based on order specifications using handheld scanners or pick tickets.
Packing: Carefully pack items into boxes, ensuring products are secure and protected for shipping.
Label packages appropriately.


Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before packing and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Shipping: Prepare packages for shipment, including weighing, labeling, and stacking them on pallets or in designated areas.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly order fulfillment goals.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that packing materials and tools are properly stored.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.


Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to read and interpret order sheets, pick tickets, and inventory lists.

Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
