Job Description

We are a manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinets for new construction homes/apartments. We are looking for a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to start immediately.

Job Summary
Reviews, evaluates, and analyzes work environments and designs safety programs and procedures to control and eliminate workplace injuries in the manufacturing facility, as well as at client s construction sites. Conducts inspections and enforces safety policies and procedures established by the Company. Follows and maintains Company in compliance by adhering to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals. The Safety and Compliance Coordinator/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all safety and compliance policies and procedures for both manufacturing and construction sites.
Essential Functions
Designs, organizes, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Cal/OSHA, and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Ability to create original written safety processes and checklists.
Advises Management and Human Resources on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
Maintains all training records in an organized manner on a shared drive.
Conducts policy and compliance audits on the manufacturing plant, offices, and field locations.
Risk reporting with findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Conducts post-accident investigations and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards within the manufacturing plant and field locations.
Schedules and completes Company safety trainings including tailgate topics at different field locations.
Manages and schedules Quarterly Safety Meetings with the Field and Administrative Departments.
Develops and evaluates the upgrading of safety programs.
Build Risk Awareness across the Company.
Special projects, such as the Machine Safety project, amongst others.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrates priority & training skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Strong computer skills for emailing, reporting, presenting, and assessing.
Must be able and willing to travel as needed to field locations.
Knowledge of Employment Laws, Workers Compensation, DOT, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA regulations is preferred.
Vehicle must be in safe working condition.
Valid California Driver s License with good driving record and proof of insurance.
Bilingual in Spanish is a must.
Education and/or Experience
Associate s degree in a related field or 2 years of related experience.
Excellent oral and communication skills
Time management, organizational and leadership skills required.

Physical Requirements
The essential physical requirements for this position are:
Employee must have the ability to walk, talk, hear, see, speak, concentrate, reach in all directions, stoop, bend, lift up to 50 pounds.
Use a computer, telephone, cellphone, and other equipment needed for the position.
Drive to worksites such as, client s jobsites.
