Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Punch Press Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining punch press machines to produce high-quality metal components. They will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth work flow and meet production quotas.
Responsibilities:
Set up punch press machine by installing and aligning dies, ensuring proper clearance, and adjusting the machine settings as required.
Load materials such as metal sheets into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to safety protocols.
Operate the punch press machine to perform precise cutting, punching, or shaping of metal components according to the provided specifications.
Monitor the machine's operation to ensure accurate feeding, positioning, and performance, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Inspect the produced components for defects, such as burrs, scratches, or incorrect dimensions, and perform minor rework or adjustments as necessary.
Perform regular maintenance tasks on the punch press machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts to ensure its optimal functioning.
Follow quality control standards and procedures to maintain product consistency and meet customer requirements.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, consistently practicing safe work habits to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to identify and resolve any machine or production issues, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Document production data, including quantities, defect rates, and operational issues, accurately reporting to the appropriate personnel.

Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and follow technical instructions and specifications.

Physical stamina and strength to handle materials, load the machine, and occasionally lift heavy objects.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate controls and perform delicate adjustments on the machine.
Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine performance issues and ensure continuous production flow.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Basic computer literacy to input and retrieve data, log production details, and effectively communicate through email or other software.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, to meet production demands or address unexpected issues.
